I confess - I am a chip fiend! They are my kryptonite and I cannot help myself around them. Because of this, I never buy chips because they won't last very long in our apartment. This becomes problematic, however, when I have a hankering for something salty and crunchy.
Normally, this would simply drive me crazy until the craving finally subsided. Now I no longer need to suffer - I have discovered crispy chickpeas! They are healthy and salty and crunchy all at the same time!
Crispy chickpeas are a fantastic snack of seasoned canned chickpeas that have been either roasted in the oven or toasted in an air-fryer. They are easy to make and are very versatile, since you can adjust your seasonings to whatever you like!

Not at all! If you do not have an air-fryer, so not worry. You can make amazing crispy chickpeas in your oven using a sheet pan. This will simply take a little longer than in an air-fryer but the results will be very similar.
If you roast yours in the oven, I recommend lining your sheet pan with parchment paper to save time in cleanup. However, placing the chickpeas directly on the pan will produce the crispiest result. Be sure to toss the chickpeas relatively frequently if you put the chickpeas directly on the pan to avoid them sticking.
One thing I do not recommend is to try to make crispy chickpeas on the stove. I have tried this, and had hot chickpeas popping all over my kitchen, which is a burn hazard!
