Rosemary Gin Gimlet Cocktails

These rosemary gin gimlet cocktails are the perfect patio sipper. Incredibly smooth and deceptively boozy, these will surely be a hit!

Ingredients

For the Rosemary Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2–3 sprigs fresh rosemary

For the Cocktail:

  • small handful ice
  • 2 oz gin
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 to 1 oz rosemary simple syrup (depending how sweet your prefer)

Instructions

For the Rosemary Simple Syrup:

  1. In a small saucepan, add the water, sugar, and rosemary. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring often, until the sugar is dissolved. As soon as the sugar dissolves, remove from heat and let cool to room temperature with the rosemary still in the mixture. Strain into an airtight container and refrigerated for up to one week until needed.

For the Cocktail:

  1. Partially fill your martini shaker with ice. Make sure you leave room so you can add the liquid for your cocktails!
  2. Add gin to the shaker.
  3. Add fresh lime juice to the shaker.
  4. Add rosemary simple syrup
  5. Shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds.
  6. Pour the mixture into a chilled coupe glass or martini glass.
  7. Garnish with fresh rosemary sprig and enjoy!
