Homemade Buffalo Chicken Drumsticks
No Super Bowl Sunday is complete without Buffalo sauce! These homemade Buffalo chicken drumsticks are the perfect way to get your fix.
Ingredients
For the Drumsticks:
- 1 lb chicken drumsticks (approx. 4)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp salted butter (melted)
- 2 tbsp Buffalo sauce
For the Ranch Sauce:
- 1/2 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp honey
- 1 tsp red onion, diced very finely
- 2 tbsp water (you may need more or less)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400F. In a large mixing bowl, toss the drumsticks together with the olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder until evenly coated. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until cooked through and the internal temperature reads 165F.
- 10 minutes before the chicken is finished cooking, melt the butter and mix the Buffalo sauce with it and set aside. In a small to medium sized mixing bowl, mix together all of the ranch sauce ingredients. Gradually mix in the water, until you reach your desired consistency. Set aside for serving.
- Once the chicken is cooked, let it cool for 3 to 5 minutes. Toss the drumsticks with the butter and Buffalo sauce mixture until evenly coated. Serve with the ranch dipping sauce and enjoy!
